I am an American woman in love with an Egyptian man. We have been together over a year and he has been a God-send to me and my son (who yes, I have full custody of). Me and my son have survived a lot together in his short little life, and I feel that things are finally looking up for us. As a domestric violence survivor, I do not want to tear my family apart by going to Egypt, getting married, then returning and waiting for his spousal visa to clear. I dont think that would be healthy for my son or myself. However, international school over there for my son is looking to be very expensive ($10,000 a year!). People keep saying that I can get help for him to go to school while we are there (grants or something?), but I don't even know where to begin to look. Any help would be very much appreciated. I just want my family together and happy. My son needs that at this point in his life.
